The curriculum is based on the firm belief that children learn best from first-hand experiences – from doing rather than from being told. Our curriculum follows the guidelines established by the British National Curriculum. For children up to the age of five, we follow the standards set by the Early Years Foundation Stage for learning, development and care. For the education of children aged between five and seven years, we use the National Curriculum for Key Stage One.
The Nursery School and Pre-school occupy two large adjoining houses that have a large garden with trees, mini houses and castles, a climbing wall and a playground area. It is designed so that the children can enjoy it in most weather conditions. Inside there are a dozen spacious and bright classrooms, changing areas and several child friendly bathrooms.
The English Garden aims to provide a balanced and enjoyable child friendly diet. We offer breakfast for children arriving before 8:30 a.m., morning snack, hot lunch, an afternoon snack, as well as a late snack for children staying after 5.00pm.
The staff of the English Garden Nursery and Pre-School is international in origin and in the experiences that they bring to the babies, toddlers and children in our care. Our staff are dedicated professionals who share an understanding and a love of children.
